Monday session log
Back on the mat!
This week we are working on ground hold escapes and dealing with strong attacks and momentum. The latter is specific to self-defence: how to protect one self and use their momentum? Attacks that are likely to come from less skilled attackers: sucker punches, haymakers, etc.
Today, we warmed up with yoi combat stance: how to keep a good stance to stay stable and mobile. Followed with arm drag drill.
We then looked at escaping and standing up from mune gatame hold.
After that, we trained ko soto gari from a wrist grab using arm drag. And moved to straight punch attacks, to finally look at haymakers.
We ended the session with a mini-V to practice our throwing in a fast pace and pressure environment.
